Thunderstone Tools of Destruction Thunderstone are, Pasi Rantanen vocals, Nino Laurenne-guitar backing vocals, Mirka Rantanen-drums, Kari Tornack-keyboard, Titus Hjelm-bass backing vocals. Titus wins the award for best metal name. Anybody named Titus or Magnus has got to be a bad ass. Anyways, this is a pretty solid disc. The opening track "Tool of the devil" immediately grabs your attention. The album has sort of a Blaze Baily era Maiden sound to it. The way I like to try out new grooves in in the discman while I'm in the gym. Tool of the devil is a good workout song. Of course I like guys that can actually sing and Mr. Pasi Rantanen has a great metal voice. Incidentally Pasi is in a three way tie with Kari and Mirka for lamest metal names. The first 4 songs on this disc are all really good. After that it starts to get a little old and the feeling you've heard this before starts to creep in. I can't name the songs right now like a professional reviewer should because I don't have the disc jacket with me. But trust me, they're songs and if you pick up the disc you'll be able to read the names of the songs yourself and that's lots of fun. The sound of this band maybe a little to much of a throwback for some people but these guys are obviouly talented and put out a respectable album with "Tools of Destruction" In my personal opinion I would have liked to hear some more solos and a slightly more raw sound on the guitars. Overall I'd give this disk a 3 Thor hammers out of 5. Betyg:
